Chapter 22: Hello, World!

Howdy y'all!

My name is Sebastian Villa Cuellar, but most of you usually just call me Seb. I'm currently 22 years old and have been living in College Station for the last four years.

I'm excited to welcome you to my new blog, which is an experiment and an extension of my website at tx.ag/sebvc. I decided to create this blog while in the process of rebuilding my website from scratch, and I'll share more about the website rebuilding process later on.

Through this blog, I hope to accomplish two things: First, I want to keep all my friends and family who don't get to see me very often updated on my life. Second, I want to create a space where I can share some of the cool and random things I've been working on. So, if I keep this up, expect some of my posts to be incredibly nerdy, others to be more like a general blog about my life, and whatever else I feel like posting. So on that note and let me give you a little background about myself.

I'll try to expand on these in separate posts but for now, let me give you the rundown on a few of the hobbies that take up my free time:
  • There are always personal hobby-engineering and robotics projects which do explain my college degree and professional ambitions.
  • I've had a long-time appreciation for UI/UX design but didn't ever buy the Adobe suite and instead got really good at utilizing PowerPoint's full capabilities, and alternatives.
  • I've been consistently Swing Dancing at the Sons of Hermann Hall since they re-opened from the pandemic every Wednesday I am in Dallas.
  • Been bouldering and rock climbing for four years now, purely recreationally, but I do see it as my main form of exercise after biking.
  • Occasionally, I dust off my Cello and become a Bach-aspiring Sebastian for a few hours.
  • And even with all the Webtoons and Books I read every day, I still wish I read more.
Thank you for reading! Please feel free to leave comments, share your own experiences, and connect with me through this blog. Let's make this a space where we can all learn, grow, and support each other.

I share more with you soon!
